About the Guru
Sri Aascharyanandha
Sri Aascharyanandha is the present Guru of Shambavi Peetam, an institution rooted in the sacred tradition of Sri Vidya Sadhana, one of the most revered and esoteric paths of Sanatana Dharma. Recognized as a spiritual guide, healer, poet, ritualist, and visionary, he has dedicated his life to reviving and sharing the timeless wisdom of Shakti Tantra through rituals, teachings, and community-centric spiritual practices. He is also the founder of Tantralayam, an initiative focused on mental wellness through intuitive spiritual practices.
Early Life and Transformation
Born as Gautham in a small town near Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Sri Aascharyanandha experienced significant challenges early in life. His father passed away when he was just 11 months old, and his mother single-handedly raised him. Despite the hardships, he pursued education with dedication and completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Known for his discipline and focus even in youth, he also represented his school in volleyball competitions
At that time, his life showed no visible inclination toward spirituality. However, a series of deeply personal and existential challenges led him to a crossroads. During a particularly difficult phase, he found solace in a nearby temple, visiting daily for three continuous months, seeking clarity and guidance. This consistent surrender and longing led to a turning point: he came into the field of vision of his future Guru, Sri Pushyanandha
After months of silent observation, his Guru initiated him with Kundalini Deeksha, opening the door to a complete spiritual transformation. At the age of 19, following the Maha Samadhi of his Guru in February 2014, he was named the spiritual successor of Shambavi Peetam. With the blessings and consent of his mother, who herself draped him in saffron robes, Gautham renounced worldly identity and stepped into his dharma as Sri Sai Aascharyanandha.
Significance of the Name
Each part of his name is intentional and deeply symbolic:
-
Sri – Signifies auspiciousness, divine grace, and prosperity. It also refers to Raja Vidya, the royal path of knowledge in the Sri Vidya tradition.
-
Sai – Reflects the integrated art-style of Sri Vidya that embraces both Shiva and Shakti in aikya bhava (non-dual union).
-
Aascharyanandha – Translates to “the bliss of the miraculous,” reflecting his experiential realizations and the ecstatic states derived from profound yogic and tantric practices.
Spiritual Lineage and Tradition
Shambavi Peetam follows an authentic Guru-Sishya Parampara, tracing its spiritual lineage from Lord Shiva → Devi → Nandhi → Dattatreya → Sri Pushyanandha → Sri Aascharyanandha.
The Peetam is rooted in Sri Vidya Tantra, particularly in both Bhu Prasthara (flat Sri Chakra worship) and Meru Prasthara (three-dimensional worship) traditions. This lineage is preserved and transmitted through live initiations, ritual transmissions (Shakti Path), and community-driven sadhana programs.
Mission, Vision, and Core Values
Sri Aascharyanandha’s teachings focus on making authentic spiritual knowledge accessible to all, while maintaining the depth and sacredness of the practices. He actively breaks down barriers of caste, creed, gender, and social background, inviting seekers from all walks of life into the sacred space of Sri Vidya.
He emphasizes that spiritual life is not separate from material life, but rather the foundation upon which peace, clarity, and success can be built. His mission is to offer solution-based spirituality, rather than theoretical discourse.
Key values promoted include:
-
Inclusivity and non-discrimination
-
Community upliftment through collective sadhana
-
Holistic spiritual and psychological wellness
-
Rituals based on intuitive insight and scriptural foundation
Rituals and Special Sadhanas
As a ritualist, Sri Aascharyanandha is widely respected for his ability to design and execute powerful yagyams and tantric prayogas, often revealed to him in deep meditation and later confirmed through ancient texts.
Some of his signature rituals include:
-
Sri Skandha Krama: A unique synthesis of Murugan, Shiva, and Parvati worship, involving Abhayeshwara Linga placed above the Sri Chakra. This ritual is known for bringing blessings to couples seeking children and for enhancing business and personal growth.
-
Sri Prathyangira Maha Yagyam: A fire ritual for removal of black magic, evil eye, and psychic attacks.
-
Sri Mangala Chandika Prayoga: Inspired by Devi Bhagavata Purana and Vanadurga Upanishad, this ritual promotes auspiciousness and removes spiritual blockages.
-
Sri Shakthi Panchakshara Prayoga: A five-syllable tantric fire ritual to awaken inner Shiva energy.
-
Sri Vedavagini Maha Yagyam, Sri Aparajita Prayoga Yagyam, and others are often conducted based on individual or collective needs.
All rituals are performed with precise mantra chanting, vedic fire offerings, and yantra installations, following traditional Agamic and Tantric guidelines.
Abhayeshwara Linga: The Spiritual Heart of Shambavi Peetam
One of the most profound spiritual acts under Sri Aascharyanandha’s guidance is the consecration of the Abhayeshwara Linga, uniquely installed on top of the Sri Chakra Meru. This sacred configuration is not only rare in traditional Tantric practice but serves as the energetic core of the Peetam’s spiritual ecosystem.
The name Abhayeshwara means “The Lord Who Removes Fear.” This consecrated Linga radiates a field of protection, fearlessness, emotional resilience, and spiritual grounding. It is a focal point for those navigating emotional turbulence, seeking fertility, business success, or spiritual clarity.
By installing the Linga directly upon the Sri Chakra, Sri Aascharyanandha has created a living yantric energy field that merges Shiva’s transcendental consciousness with Shakti’s manifesting force, offering:
-
Activation of all chakras, particularly Muladhara to Sahasrara
-
Karmic purification and subtle energy alignment
-
Empowerment during rituals like Skandha Krama, Shoolini Prayoga, and Pradosha poojas
Daily pujas and abhishekams to the Linga include Panchaamrita Abhishekam, Bilva archana, and Chandi chanting, maintaining its energetic charge as a living deity.
Seekers often report a deep sense of peace, clarity, and divine presence when meditating near the Abhayeshwara Linga—making it not just a ritual centerpiece, but a permanent spiritual transmission within the temple.
