Fundamental philosophy of Shambavi Peetam

1. Guru-Disciple Tradition

The Peetam strongly adheres to the age-old Guru-Shishya Parampara, where spiritual knowledge is transmitted directly from the Guru to the disciple. This personalized approach is called as shakti-path where guru illuminates the disciple with the spiritual prowess that was attained through ardent shakti rituals. This can be explained as a light illuminating the other. As the art is passed from one to another the authenticty and the intensity of the art remains integral till date. Shambavi peetam believes that seeker and guru should be in constant touch which is essential for the seeker to not be distracted.

2. Shaktism

The Peetam is deeply rooted in the principles of Shaktism, where the Mantra, Tantra and yantra is not just viewed as ritual syllabus but the core essence is being thaught. to put it in the simple words if you want to reach a certain destination. why you want to go there is TANTRA, the knowledge or skill to drive a car or use a bus or choosing any means to travel is MANTRA and the very material or in this case car or bus is YANTRA. Shambavi peetam is a place where knowledge and the ways to impart in reality goes hand in hand and this is possible only because of its strong guru-disciple tradition.
